Who Samjhao is for
Samjhao is a free voice study app for students 13 years and older. Students meet in small voice calls (2–4 people) to explain topics to each other. There is no video. Everyone signs in with Google, so names and photos are real accounts.
Be a good study partner
- Be kind and respectful. Explain, ask and help. No bullying, insults, hate or bad language.
- Keep calls about studying. No selling, ads or spam.
- Never share your phone number, home address, school name, social media or photos of yourself — and never ask others for theirs.
- Never ask anyone to meet in person, move to another app, or send money.
- Use your real name or a decent nickname.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Samjhao strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. This includes sexual messages or talk with a minor, grooming, asking a minor for images, sextortion, and sharing or linking to such material.
- Accounts involved are blocked immediately and permanently, and their sessions are cancelled.
- We report CSAM and child exploitation to the relevant authorities in India, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), and cooperate with law enforcement.
- We comply with applicable child safety laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the POCSO Act, 2012.
How to report or block someone — inside the app
- In a call: tap People → ⚑ Report next to the person. Hosts can also Remove someone; they cannot rejoin that room.
- Anywhere: tap a person's photo to open their profile → ⚑ Report or 🚫 Block. Blocked students can't join your rooms and you won't see each other's doubts or study times.
- Doubts: tap ⚑ on any doubt to report it.
- Reports are private — the other person is not told who reported them. Our team reviews every report.
What happens when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is: a warning, removal from a room, removal of a doubt, or a permanent block of the account. Serious cases are reported to the authorities.
Child safety contact
For any child-safety concern, or if you believe someone is in danger: safety@atmaloop.com. Our designated child-safety point of contact reviews these messages and can act on them. If someone is in immediate danger, call 112 (India emergency) or 1098 (Childline).
